On August 20, 2023, Quarto supported the ITS Spektronics Team in the Synergicon Southern Asia Region Chem-E-Car Competition, organized by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in India. The Spektronics Team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again demonstrated exceptional performance on the international stage, showcasing their excellence in research and innovation.
The team proudly secured 1st place in the Race Competition and 3rd place in the Poster Competition, further solidifying their reputation as a leader in chemical engineering innovation. Their winning car operates using a chemical reaction involving the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide with a ferric chloride catalyst, generating oxygen gas pressure to propel the vehicle forward. As long as oxygen pressure remains in the reactor, the car continues to move.
